Jeweled Glass Tray, Ormalu Metalwork with Embroidered Lace

This glass jeweled vanity or dresser tray has colored glass faux jewels in red, green and blue, bezel set in an ornate ormolu brass rim designed with openwork in a reticulated filigree flower and vine pattern on the handles and large rim. This antique tray also features an embroidered lace doily in muted rainbow hues, and stands on four rounded feet.

Dimension are 12 3/4 inches from handle to handle and 10 3/4 inches diameter without handles, and it is around an inch high. The condition is excellent, with all the glass jewels intact. No maker's mark found yet, but this resembles Apollo, Empire Art Gold and other similar items made from the Victorian through Art Nouveau period, and through the early 20s and 30s. Ettinger's Antique Dresser Sets 1890s to 1950s references this period of jeweled metalwork vanity accessories.
