SKU: A Depression blue satin glass figural powder jar known as the Victorian Lady, and referenced on pages 30-31 of Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years by Whitmyer. The lid features a figural of the lady in her Victorian attire of a hooped skirt, puffed sleeves, and a bonnet fastened over curled locks. Her hands are folded at her waist, a basket hangs from one arm, and a parasol from the other. Garlands of flowers and bows encircle the bottom edge of the skirt above a row of ruffling. The jar base is embossed with a criss-crossed trellis pattern, and the base is marked DERMAY, INC. Fifth AVE. N.Y. 972. Dimensions are about 5.75 inches tall x 4.5 inches diameter. There is a small rough spot on the mold line rim of the bonnet, and a fleabite on the bottom underneath as seen in the photos, but otherwise this Depression era puff box is in excellent condition. I use USPS with UPIC insurance for all shipments unless otherwise requested. Shipping quote already includes full insurance and handling. Please contact me if you have any questions.
