An elegant wedding cake topper or bridal table statuette made by Austin Sculpture, from a design by artist Alexsander Danel. I believe the name of this piece to be "Our Day".The bride and groom are in a very romantic pose,with her back nestled in front of him, while she has her head upturned to his adoring gaze. The flowing curves of herdress, veil, rose bridal bouquet and body are exquisitely sculpted, with an elaborately decorated bodice and train adding to the beauty of this bride. The groom is dressed in bow tie and tuxedo. The pearl shaded ceramic figurine is engraved on the side of the base with 'Austin Sculpture (c)1991' and 'Danel' and also has the Austin Sculpture foil label attached to the white felt covered bottom. It stand almost 8 inches in height and is in very good condition, with only slight pitting of the surface in a few spots, so minor as to be unnoticeable without close up examination.
