This wrap around, cuff bracelet from the early 1960's was made by Laguna as part of their 'The Crown Jewel Look' collection, for which they had an eye catching ad campaign in 1962 (see Julia Carrol's Collecting Costume Jewelry 101 & 202 ) Sparkling shades of blue multifaceted Aurora Borealis crystals are threaded in three strands onto copper wire to create a dazzling effect. This coiled vintage bracelet still has it's original gold foil and ribboned crest tag and appears to have never been worn, giving it the excellent condition it is in.. The tag reads THE CROWN JEWEL LOOK on one side and the other has the Laguna signature under their trademark crown, and the original $8 price. Exceptional craftsmanship and design make these worthy of their 'crown jewels' name. I believe the artistically cut crystals to be Austrian. The total uncoiled length is 21 inches, width is 1 inch, and it wraps to fit any size wrist. As it wraps, two crystal teardrops dangle from each end. A really lovely vintage Laguna bracelet in like new condition.This would make a unique prom accessory!
