Tiffin Glass Art Deco Chipperfield Green Vanity Set

Tiffin Glass Art Deco Chipperfield Green Vanity Set
SKU:

This lovely green Elegant Depression glass Art Deco vanity or dresser set was produced by Tiffin Glass circa 1930, in their pattern now known as Chipperfield. The set consists of two perfume bottles, a dresser jar and a tray. Shown on page 131 of Whitmyer's Bedroom and Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years, and attributed to Tiffin / US Glass. It is very similar, and sometimes mistaken for, the Indiana Glass Company's Cracked Ice pattern, and is rarely found as a complete set in fluorescent green uranium Elegant Depression glass, that glows brightly as vaseline glass does under black or UV light

The Art Deco stepped hexagonal design of the perfume bottles is repeated on the lid of the dresser jar and the same geometric pattern runs through the bottles, jar and tray. The dauber on one of the perfume bottles is chipped on the end, the other dauber is missing, both bottles and stoppers are not damaged. The jar is chipped and has a crack, the lid is not damaged - The tray has several tiny nicks on the bottom and on the inside of the rim. We have adjusted the price to reflect these flaws, and are willing to entertain offers for single pieces or any combination of pieces in the set
