This ornate filigreed brass and petit point embroidered silk four piece dresser set consists of a 12 1/2 inch long beveled hand mirror, a 10 inch long hair brush, a 7 inch long clothes brush and a 5x3.5 inch jewelry box.All of the pieces have skillfully embroidered silk with petit point floral designs topped with a protective celluloid cover. They are encased in ornate decorated brass with detailed intricate filigree floral and scrolled designs. The bristles on the brushes have a wood backing, and the curved mirror is beveled. The oval trinket jar has a hinged lid and burgundy velvet inner lining and bottom, standing on four ornate brass feet.. The embroidered floral pattern features assorted flowers in blues, mauves, yellows and pinks, with green foliage on a beige silk background.The vintage dressing table set dates to the early 20th century and with the exception of slight staining to the silk on the clothes brush, mild wear to the velvet lining of the jewelry box and light tarnishing due to age on the brass, are all in excellent condition.
