An early 20th century crystal jar with jeweled ornate metalwork lid made by Empire Art Gold The brass lid of this dresser or vanity jar features a filigree designed finial with the lid copiously adorned with a rim circle of prong set blue glass jewels, and plus pink and green glass jewels symmetrically spaced around an intricate filigree pattern. The underneath of the lid is marked - E. & J.B. Empire Art Gold surrounding a crown. The pressed crystal glass base has an optic panel pattern around the sides and a petal rayed flower on the base. Dimensions are 4 x 4 inches and apart from tarnish on the metal, it is in excellent condition, with no missing glass rhinestones.
