SKU: The Lancaster Glass Co produced this Art Deco centerpiece bowl for just a few years during the 1920s before fire destroyed their glassworks. The pattern is known as SPHINX as it features three panels of Egyptian Revival etchings with each panel containing a pair of Sphinx separated by decorative foliage, and the panels are demarcated by vertical ribbing. The flared rim of this large bowl is gently scalloped in classic Lancaster Glass style. Measuring 11.5 inches across x 5.5 inches tall, this hard to find bowl is in excellent condition. The Sphinx bowl is referenced on pg 225 of Hazel Marie Weatherman's Colored Glassware of the Depression Era vol 2 I use USPS Priority Mail with UPIC insurance for domestic shipping, and USPS Global Priority or Air Parcel Post for international shipments, unless otherwise requested. Please contact me if you would like to use a different shipper, or with any other questions.
