This satinized green Depression Glass figural powder jar, dresser or jewelry box is known as Treasure Chest and shown on pg 54 of Whitmyer: Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. The lid and base are rectangular and have embossed hinges, a lock and decorative corners. The frosted green Treasure Chest with its lid measures 5 1/2" long, 3 1/4" wide and 3 1/4" tall and with the exception of a few small chips under the lid rim and a straw mark on one side, both the lid and jar are in excellent condition
